12 Joyful Days

Hey y’all! Like I promised, I am back with a new one!

The #selfiestosavor Challenge was awesome. I knew I wanted to keep going with the momentum we built and what better time of year for cultivating more of the gratitude and the JOY that comes with it?

So here’s the deal. For starters, my sister Liz jumped on board to make this twice as nice. Yay for sisters!! We put a lot of thought into what we felt like we wanted/needed this holiday (and beyond) with the intention of staying present to the beauty of what IS. What we came up with is part soulful, part silly, and full on inspired.

Welcome to the #12joyfuldays!

We are taking the 12 days before Christmas and infuse them with the real, simple, best kind of JOY we can muster up.

It’s that time of year that it is so easy to just get swept up. I know between to do lists, holiday goodies, wanting to give to every charity you come across like nobody’s business, trying to make sure my kids know the true meaning of Christmas, fitting a year’s worth of social gatherings into a few weeks of get-togethers, fighting the urge to keep up with the Jones’, and being so gosh darn tired......the holiday can become something much more distracting and less aligned with what really matters to me if I don't pay attention.

Our mission here is to simplify and celebrate with JOY what IS. Here and now.

Here’s how it works:

  • Starting Saturday, December 13th you will check in on Instagram and/or facebook early morning to see what the day will bring and then share with us your joy. We will be giving you a daily challenge/prompt/nudge to find the joy. The goal is to spread it. To use this social media world for some bright and shiny goodness. The beauty of #selfitosavour was that it was contagious. We looked forward to seeing each others faces and gratitude!

  • So... post those pics daily and, if you feel so inclined, share the JOY!

  • This time around we are using the hashtag #12joyfuldays. The hashtag thing is actually a pretty awesome tool. It allows us all to click on that hashtag and instantly view all the posts from other people taking part. The #12joyfuldays hashtag will be like a red thread keeping us all intertwined. Be sure to use it :)

  • We are also asking that you tag both @beccadegeilh and @wholemama on Intsagram or Rebecca Reardon Degeilh and/or Elizabeth Reardon Sendrowitz on Facebook. We don’t want to miss a single post!

That's it! Short, simple, and sweet.

If you know someone who you think would be interested, please, invite them to join us! Just have them hook up with Liz and I because, again, we don't want to miss a smidgen of the JOY you guys are spreading. Simply ask them to follow @beccadegeilh and/or @wholemama on Instagram.

Here's to our merriest!
